Glasgow LITTLE THEATRE

The novel "Catcher in the Rye" was published, actor Kurt Russell was born and Harry S. Truman was president of the United States.  The year was 1951 and in Glasgow, Kentucky local residents like Helen Longshore, Marcus Allen and Mildred Dunn we hard at work rehearsing and preparing to open the very first production for the Glasgow Little Theatre, "Night of January 16th". For the next three seasons folks like Caroline Biggers, Jack Eversole, Wanda Lee Aspley, Paul Bagby, Robert Lessenberry, Lawrence Jessie, Chris Grinstead and scores of others dedicated their free time to produce another six plays.
